About Us

The purchase of "Solemates" in the summer of 2008 began a new chapter in our lives. We hope to begin exploring more of the world by sea, beginning in the spring of 2010 with the Sea of Cortez and Southern California, and eventually south to the Panama Canal and points beyond....taking time to thoroughly explore and enjoy along the way. We look forward to sharing our adventures and experiences with friends and family along the way!

wow

Had to blog this.....we are in the midst of something wild.  We went to bed at 10:00 and woke up at 10:30 to the sound of howling winds.  We have had our first real squall-75 knot winds with driving rain, thunder and lightening...nothing like it ever here before.  May have lost a canvas or two, but have survived Round 1.  The winds have settled now but we're waiting for the latest update on what's to come.  Who says you can't have an adventure at the dock?

  1. Sounds like Solemates has been drinking again. 75-knots? At the dock? In PV? In February? Maybe you were just sitting in front of the fan cooling yourselves... put down the red wine Shannon!
    Miss you guys!
